| Here's a quick glance at some of the equipment we may use during our research:  The handy piece of equipment often referred to as an EMF meter is an item used by our research team. It can help us determine if there is electromagnetic energy in an area, how high the levels are and if that energy is remaining stationary to a set location or does it seem to move from place to place.
"Haunted" locations and these forms of energy readings seem to go together. Unfortunately this type of energy can also cause an individual to experience sensations that are also often identified as a "haunting". This is why it is important to use other methods as well when researching an area. If something unusual is happening during an energy measurement that is recorded in other ways, it may be more than just a sensitive individual.
Always trying to stay up to date as much as possible, this is a newer model our team is experimenting with, that has the ability to light up at night, as well as read the temperature which is really helpful.
 This is another "EMF" meter that although really useful, because it lights up easily whenever it detects energy within a certain range with its color coded lights, which can help to determine if an energy reading is within' the range of most paranormal activity claims, quickly and in the dark. It has a serious flaw where our particular needs are concerned, so we limit how we apply it's use.
Unfortunately, our particular team is limited with this handy device due to the very thing that makes it helpful. It's easily set off! During our research one night, shortly after our team was founded, we found we were able to use an ordinary hand radio communicator and point it at the meter, which caused it to light up on command.
We've had some interesting phenomenon with this device, such as asking questions and having it light up in remote locations when we had kept the date/time of our arrival to ourselves to avoid such tampering. Unfortunately the paranormal field has a history that makes a device such as this, of little if any value, for our particular needs, due to the fact it could be tampered with. Therefore this device is never our sole form of energy testing or evidence gathering and tends to serve us more as an alarm system that can assist us in determining where other equipment may be needed. We also have found the need to modify the on/off feature of this particular model to help us at least show that tampering is not being done by the user purposely, inadvertently or unintentionally causing a false reading, as well as also eliminating the need for the device to be hand held while in use.
  
Video Cameras are also important for recording our research during visits to locations. This is a peek at the assortment of such cameras we use. You're privacy is extremely important to us, therefore, recordings of our research are never used for public purposes without the express written permission from the owner of a site. Remember, we ourselves have been in your shoes, therefore we very much understand the desire of confidentiality you may have. Our desire is never to exploit individuals, it is to research and to reach an understanding in the field of paranormal activity. Our mission is to search for the truth.

 This is another type of camera we've use for still shots. It's compact, making it easy to carry when the need for a snapshot may arise.
 
Some of the digital recorders we may utilize for E. V. P. Electronic Voice Phenomenon. Unfortunately this is another gray area in the field often times and we've learned much on the pros and cons of this practice as well as our own concerns and curiosities. Again, we are here for the truth, so we do utilize this form of research as well.

This is one of the thermometer's we may utilize while in the field. This particular model is helpful in the fact it lights up at night on command, and it can be pointed in a desired direction for a fast reading. Paranormal activity is often associated with changes in temperature. Also, electromagnetic energy can make a person feel like the temperature has changed when it has in fact stayed the same. A temperature gauge can really help us to determine if what we feel is reality or not.

 Ah, then there is the flashlight! What investigation would complete without one. We utilize flashlights on some occasions and we also utilize various types of lens covers and bulbs such as red to help us retain our night vision while doing research in dark or poorly lit locations.

This is by no means all of the equipment we utilize and our list is ever-growing, but it does give you a small idea of what an investigation might entail, as well as the quality standards we set for our team. Our goal is to utilize scientific methods in addition to recording our findings.
